De Ultra HD Blu-raybox krijgt de naam ‘The Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection’ mee en brengt dus alle vier de films in de hoogste kwaliteit naar de huiskamer. De films zijn in 4K-resolutie en Dolby Vision, inclusief Dolby Atmos soundtrack.
Op 8 juni wordt de box op de Amerikaanse markt gebracht door Paramount and Lucasfilm, met als belangrijkste reden dat Raiders of the Lost Ark precies 40 jaar geleden in de bioscoop werd uitgebracht. In 1981 ging de eerste film uit de reeks in premiere.
Paramount verzekert dat we de hoogste kwaliteit kunnen verwachten. De film is opnieuw in 4K-resolutie gescand van de originele negatieven. Naast Dolby Vision kun je de films ook in HDR10 bekijken. Ook is het mogelijk een digitale versie van de film te bekijken via VOD.
Natuurlijk is het ook een goed stukje marketing aangezien er momenteel gewerkt wordt een een vijfde deel uit de serie. Dit vijfde deel heeft nog geen titel maar moet in 2022 verschijnen.
