Afgelopen september kondigde Philips in Berlijn de topmodellen voor 2015 aan, met als vlaggenschip de 9600-serie. Deze tv, met een formaat an 65-inch, beschikt over nagenoeg alle nieuwste technieken en standaarden maar de lancering is vertraagd. TP Vision zou de Philips tv eerst van de nieuwste HDR-specificaties willen voorzien.
Tegenover AVForums laat TP Vision weten dat de 65PUS9600, het topmodel lcd led tv voor 2015, vertraagd is. De reden hiervoor is echter positief want met de alsmaar veranderende standaarden voor High Dynamic Range wil het bedrijf de tv voorzien van de meest recente specificaties.

We have recently announced the Philips 9600 TV, a true picture quality flagship for the 2015 range to be available late 2015.
At Philips TV we strive to launch televisions to the market at the right moment with the relevant and innovative specifications, we have decided to postpone the launch of the 9600 to 2016 and update the set with the latest picture quality technologies. We will also make sure we integrate the latest and right HDR specifications, which are being finalised and are planned to be announced at CES in 2016. With this we enable consumers to experience Philips Ultra HD Picture Quality and HDR in the best way.
Helaas kunnen we de 9600-serie dit jaar dus niet meer verwachten maar daar tegenover staat wel veel interessant nieuws tijdens CES 2016, de beurs die begin januari in Las Vegas plaatsvindt.
